Shaka.Ride With Local Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Shaka", "we", "us", the “Company” or "our") operates a platform and community marketplace that helps people form offline experiences and relationships directly with one another, where they can create, list, discover and book unique Activities around the world, whether through our website or our mobile applications ("Platform").
This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about how we treat Personal Information that we process about you. If you do not agree to any part of this Privacy Policy, then we cannot provide the Platform or Services to you, and you should stop accessing the Platform and deactivate your Shaka account. This policy (together with our terms of use) and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. This includes information you provide when you register to access certain pages on our site, search for a product or use our applications from time to time (apps), place an order on or via our site (to the extent applicable), participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site or app (to the extent applicable), enter a competition, promotion or survey and when you report a problem with our site or any of our apps. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, financial and credit card information and personal description and photograph.

Advertisers and advertising networks that require the data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others. We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site and apps; any transmission is at your own risk. Your rights

Subject to the various checking of certain boxes, your Personal Information may also be made available as follows:

Parts of your public profile page that contain some Personal Information may be displayed in other parts of the Platform to other users for marketing purposes or to the extent necessary to operate and manage referral and rewards programs.

Your public Listing page will always include some minimum information such as the city and neighborhood where the Activities are located, your listing description, your calendar availability, your public profile photo and your responsiveness in replying to Enjoyers' queries. Your public Listing page may also include aggregated demand information (such as number of page views over a period of time). Parts of your public Listing page may be displayed in other parts of the Platform to other users for marketing purposes. The Platform may also display the Activities' approximate geographic location on a map, such that a user can see the general area of the Activities.

The Platform allows your public profile and public Listing pages to be included in search engines, in which case your public profile and public Listing pages will be indexed by search engines and may be published as search results. This option is enabled by default, and you may opt out of this feature by changing your settings on the Platform. If you change your settings or the information on your public profile or public Listing pages, third-party search engines may not update their databases quickly or at all. We do not control the practices of third-party search engines, and they may use caches containing outdated information, including any information indexed by the search engine before you change your settings or the information on your public profile or public Listing pages.

When you submit a request to book Activities, your full name will become visible to the Provider. In addition, if you agree to be contacted by the Provider by phone when submitting your request and the Provider decides to do so, Shaka may choose to contact you via e-mail or electronic messaging systems, before connecting you with the Provider. We will not share your phone number unless there is a confirmed booking; if there is a confirmed booking, your phone number will become visible to the Provider/Enjoyer, who may call you directly.

When your request to book Activities is accepted by the Provider or when you accept an Enjoyer's request to book your Activities, we will disclose some of your Personal Information to the Provider or Enjoyer. However, your billing and payout information will never be shared with another user.

When an Enjoyer uses your Activities or when you use a Provider's Activities, we will ask you to review the Enjoyer or the Activities. If you choose to provide a review, your review may be public on the Platform.

We may distribute parts of the Platform (including your Listing) for display on sites operated by Shaka's business partners and affiliates, using technologies such as HTML widgets. If and when your Listings are displayed on a partner's site, information from your public profile page may also be displayed.
Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
Access to information
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
