2 Day High Altitude Splitboard Excursion Around Glaciers Of Chamonix
This is a two day, high altitude, back country splitboard course from Chamonix Snowboard School. The major objectives are as follows: a decent of the Argentiere Glacier, the Glacier de Tula and descent to Trient. This is a course for beginner, intermediate or advanced riders
Chamonix is a town located in the French Alps, its famous for its towering peaks and based under the tallest mountain in Europe, Mont Blanc (4,808m). It is one of the oldest ski towns in the world with tourism dating back to 1821 when the first guiding association was established. Since then the town has become a mecca for backcountry enthusiasts and mountaineers, Making Chamonix a centre for progressive mountain culture in Europe.
During the course you will skin between 1 1/2hrs - 3hrs to reach the goals of Col du Passon, Glacier de Toule and Point de Bron. From there you will be in complete high altitude back country paradise and decent to remote villages where your guide will have organised all travel arrangements.
Our team consists of local, experienced and certified snowboard instructors. Our instructors and official UIAGM mountain guides, give you the unique opportunity to discover the ultimate powder spots, under maximum security and always with loads of fun. You will be matched in a group with people of similar ability so all experience levels are welcome. Safety equipment (transceiver, shovel & probe) are not included but can be organised for you if needed.
This course is designed to give the aspiring splitboarder a true back country experience in the heart of the alps. Not only will you ride in some of the most pristine nature in europe but having an UIMGA Mountain Guide will help encourage professional habits for the future. Minimum group of 4, Maximum Group of 6.
